My first presentation of the Secrets of the Colour Rose in Japan was in Tokyo 2010. A new course and over forty students i had been a little nervous as the course approached. On my arrival in Tokyo Yukiko Naito my organiser took me to see the venue. What i saw when i arrived bowled me over with surprise …
This is the latest in the series of posts about my growing relationship with the Colour Rose. This one talks about the three events outside the course itself but which seemed to dovetail with the content of the course.
Follow the Star
The venue was the Science Museum in central Tokyo, part of the grounds of the Emperor’s Palace. As we rounded the bend and the building came into view my jaw dropped. An important symbol in the Rose is the Star of David. It is part of the content of the first day. As i looked at Museum it was literally covered in Stars of David! What a synchronicity – there can’t be another building like it anywhere in the world! I was astounded.
Spiritual underwear
Arriving for Day 2 and with 200 metres to go before i reached the building i came upon a great crowd of people all queuing. The queue extended in the direction i was going. The closer i got to the entrance the more i wondered what was going on. I was hoping they were not for me because i was just on time and could not afford to queue too. Luckily i got in by a separate door and all was well. Later that day i found out all those people had been queuing for an underwear sale! My look of surprise turned to a smile when the thought crossed my mind that the work we were doing in the class was akin to creating spiritual underwear. I know … its hard to explain … but if you come on the course you will understand. Many people queuing then but perhaps not looking in the right direction!
The way home
Day 3 and would there be another synchronicity? The day was almost done, in fact i had finished the input and we had reached the big secret. Students were taking photos and there did not seem to be anything else to do. I decided to finish with a quintessence meditation around the creation in the middle of the room. We settled into the meditation. As the silence deepened there came from outside the sound of music. It is a well known tune in Japan and it gets played at 17.00 in some traditional public spaces. Its appearance signifies that it is time to go home now at the end of the working day. It seemed a final appropriate synchronicity. Our work in the course was done and in some way i felt the final secret of the colour rose does show the way home in a spiritual sense.
