Two bottles in less than a year … things are speeding up.
I remember when B108 was born attention was turned to the Egyptian revolution and now, as I write belatedly about B109 it is again the Arab Spring in the news – this time it is Libya and the loss of power of the dictator Ghaddafi as the rebels take control of his Tripoli compound.
I wonder if this return to the Arab spring is connected to something Marelna Du Plessis noted in her astrological portrait of B109 on the ASIACT website. For B109’s birth chart the lunar north node (the direction of karmic growth for the lifetime) is at 22 degrees of Sagittarius – the same degree at which the sun appeared in the birth chart of 108. This suggests that B109 is continuing a process that was begun with 108.
There is an interesting parallel with an aspect of the relationship between turquoise and magenta. The Subtle Anatomy poster shows the turquoise energy centre acting as a doorway to access the energy from the magenta centre.

In a similar way perhaps the sun shining in 22 Sag (accompanied by the turquoise top fraction of B108) opened the way for the inspiration of our soul’s purpose in magenta to be be accessed in 22 Sag. This inspiration can now flow down in to our heart as per the image above and inform our choices of action. In this way we begin to fulfil the potential of our north node which is indicating the area of experience we must develop in this lifetime to grow spiritually. Often challenging ( it is the opposite South Node which shows where we can be strong without trying – the trap of relying on past glories) the North Node will take us out of our comfort zone but towards fulfilment.
These ideas fit well with the colours of B109. Magenta in the top fraction resonates with the soul star which carries our dream, the seed of our potential. An example of this can be found in the film (and musical) Billy Elliot. It is the story of a boy growing up in a tough mining town whose dream is to be a ballet dancer. The film is the story of his journey to the Royal Ballet School and culminates with his potential fulfilled as he performs the lead role of Swan Lake on stage.

The olive in the base represents the path that has to be walked to reach the goal. The dream can only be manifested through action and often along the way some effort must be made to overcome challenges. Billy certainly had plenty to overcome in his story, and likewise the Libyan rebels have had to carry the fight all the way to Tripoli.
This theme in B109 of the path of life that needs to be walked is part of a bigger picture. It is a story which has its beginnings in B101. The Pale Blue / Pale Olive. Jophiel was the Archangel who ensured Adam and Eve left the comfort and protection of the Garden of Eden. Olive leaves Pale Blue to come to earth. From the pale blue of God the olive has to find its own way in the world.

The parallel in my own life was leaving Dev Aura in 2001. After 9 years of working there I reluctantly left during the time of Jophiel. Despite my reluctance however it was and remains a creative and fruitful time, one in which I had to grow up for myself. I was able to return to my original love of teaching, creating many new courses along the way. I certainly feel I have arrived as a teacher in my own right through these years. Funnily enough Mike and Claudia came for supper last week at my home – the first time I have invited Mike as a guest since I left in 2001. Maybe that is a mark of the journey that has taken place.
Meanwhile in Libya they are still fighting for their freedom. Perhaps B109 can also be seen as a release from the shadow of B102 – the Deep Olive / Deep Magenta. Any dictator will carry some kind of shadow, in B102 the shadow appeared in a hue for the first and only time. In B109 it is these same two colours, olive and magenta, in which the shadow arose, that now appear in reverse and carry a new light – the mid-tones that are emerging in Equilibrium. It is as if the return has had to have been earned. Following “The Fall” from Paradise some effort has to made in order to return to right relationship both with our self and with life. They are celebrating in Tripoli as i write tonight.
